In vivo tissue related biofilm infections - necessary translational step for improved clinical biofilm understanding and treatment

The subjects will be:

• Introduction to animal research
• Chronic wound models
• Lung and Cardiovascular models

The workshop will present a general introduction to animal (biofilm) research, legislation, ethics, statistics and endpoints. Present state-of-the art biofilm models of non-healing wounds, as well as lung and cardiovascular models, contribution to biofilm-host understanding, translational potential and promising treatment candidates.

The presentations will be educational and interactive with time for questions and discussions
